Set up accounts and customer rates

An account is a customer you bill, such as a motor club or a business. Under Accounts in the dashboard you set each account's prices, called customer rates. Relay Tow applies those rates to calls to calculate totals, and impound fees come from them.

Before you start

You need permission to view and edit rates. Without it, Accounts does not appear in your sidebar.

Add an account

  1. In the dashboard, open Accounts.

  2. Choose the option to add an account.

  3. Save.

Set the account's rates

  1. Open the account.

  2. Add rates for towing, storage and extra services.

  3. Add discounts, taxes and surcharges if they apply.

  4. Save.

Use a rate template

Rate templates let you reuse a set of rates for several accounts.

Import a rate sheet

If a customer gave you a PDF rate sheet, Relay Tow can read it and create the rates for you. See "Import a motor-club invoice or rate sheet".

Good to know

  • Customers are stored per company. Other companies cannot see them.

  • An account is not a user login.

  • Impound fees come from your active rates for the customer account.
