Collect payment on scene
You collect payment on scene from the Collect Payment screen on a dispatch in the driver app. The customer pays by card on their own phone through Square, or you record a cash payment. The full steps are in "Collect payment from the driver app".
The short version
Open the dispatch and go to Collect Payment.
On the Create Invoice form, set the payment type to Square or Cash.
Enter the amount, or add line items. The total must be greater than $0.
For Square: give the customer the payment link by QR code, Share Payment Link, Send via SMS or Copy link. Select Refresh Payment Status if the screen has not updated after they pay.
For Cash: when you have the cash in hand, select Mark as Paid.
Good to know
The Collect Payment screen needs Square connected for your company, even for cash jobs. If you see "Square Not Connected", ask an Admin or Owner to connect Square.
Only one invoice can be created per dispatch. If you see "An invoice already exists for this dispatch," open the existing invoice instead.
