Connect RoadSync for payments

RoadSync is a payment provider you can use instead of Square. Once connected, Relay Tow creates RoadSync payment links for your invoices and checks their payment status. Owners and Admins connect it with a RoadSync API key, a code from RoadSync that lets Relay Tow work with your RoadSync account.

Before you start

  • Get your API key from RoadSync.

  • Your company uses one payment provider at a time: Square or RoadSync.

Steps

  1. In the dashboard, open Integrations and choose the RoadSync card, or open Settings, then RoadSync Payments.

  2. Enter your RoadSync API key.

  3. When you see "Choose a location", pick the RoadSync location to use for payments.

  4. Save.

What you will see

"RoadSync Connected".

Using RoadSync

  • Create a payment link for an invoice and send it to your customer.

  • Check the payment status of an invoice.

  • Vehicle owners can pay impound fees online if your website has public payment turned on.

Update your API key or disconnect

  • To use a new API key, update it in RoadSync Payments.

  • To stop using RoadSync, disconnect it there. You see "RoadSync Disconnected". You should also remove Relay Tow in RoadSync's own settings. Your invoices and payment history stay in Relay Tow.

If it does not work

  • "Failed to connect RoadSync": check that the API key is correct and try again.

Good to know

  • The driver app Collect Payment screen needs Square connected.
