Let customers pay impound fees online
Vehicle owners can pay impound fees on your company website instead of calling or coming in. Two things must be in place: a connected payment provider (Square or RoadSync) and public payment turned on for your website.
Set it up
Connect Square or RoadSync. In the dashboard, open Settings, then Square Payments or RoadSync Payments. Only Owners and Admins can connect.
Turn on public payment for your website.
Make sure your rates are set. Impound fees come from your active rates for the customer account.
What happens when an owner pays
The impound's invoice is marked Paid.
The impound's balance due goes to $0.
Your company gets a payment email.
With Square, the full flow is in "Accept impound payments online".
If it does not work
"Public payment is not enabled for this company": turn on public payment in your website settings.
"No supported payment provider configured. Please connect Square or RoadSync in settings.": connect Square or RoadSync.
"Impound fees have already been paid": the invoice is already settled, so there is nothing to pay.
