Scan a VIN
The VIN Scanner in the driver app saves typing. Take a photo of the vehicle's VIN and the app fills in the make, model, year and vehicle type.
Steps
In the driver app, open the VIN Scanner.
Allow camera access if your phone asks.
Point the camera at the VIN and take the photo.
Check the vehicle details the app fills in.
Save.
What you will see
The make, model, year and vehicle type appear on the call.
If it does not scan
Wipe the VIN plate or sticker and try again in better light.
Hold the phone steady and fill the frame with the VIN.
If it still does not read, ask your dispatcher or contact Relay Tow support.
If the camera does not open, allow camera access for the app in your phone's settings.
